How long does it take for a link to be accepted into the directory?
Although we aim for as fast a turnover period as possible with most submissions typically dealt with within 48 hours, as all links submitted are scrutinized and reviewed by a human editor it may take a maximum of 5 working days for a link to appear in the directory.

Submission Rules

All websites submitting to the UK Links Directory must adhere to the following submission rules and will be subjected to review by a human editor. Any site that does not follow these guidelines will be rejected from the directory and the review costs will be returned.

1. ALL websites submitted to the UK Links Directory MUST be family friendly in their content. ANY site that contains one or more of the following subjects within their content or which promotes them within their outbound links will be immediately rejected: -

   * Adult themes + content
   * Gambling
   * Sites which incites violence or racial hatred
   * Viagra and/or "miracle health pill" links

2. Any website or link containing content promoting illegal activity or selling products which are deemed illegal in the United Kingdom will also be permanently banned from the directory, even if such activities are legal in other areas.

3. Any site currently under construction or that redirects to a holding page, another URL or domain are also NOT allowed and the link will be removed by the editor.

4. Websites containing duplicate or similar content to other websites or domains are also NOT allowed within the directory and will be rejected from entry into the UK Links Directory.

5. All links sites submitted to the directory MUST be written in the ENGLISH language.

6. Only quality websites will be accepted into the directory. Sites with excessive advertising, ad sense, banners, pop-ups, spyware and/or malware will NOT be accepted into the directory. Any site that is deemed to be established purely to sell links will also be rejected.

7. All links submitted must be deemed useful and applicable to a UK audience. Shopping sites for example, must either trade within or deliver to the UK.
